ACA Compliance Group (ACA), a leading provider of governance, risk, and compliance advisory services and technology solutions, announced today that Ron Weekes has been appointed as CEO of Mirabella, ACA’s regulatory hosting platform. He replaces Mirabella founder and CEO, Joe Vittoria who will assist Ron in the transition over the coming months. ACA thanks Joe for his exceptional contribution over the many years and wishes him well for the future.

Ron has been a Partner and the European CEO for ACA Compliance Group since 2010. He established and built out the UK compliance division and more recently oversaw ACA’s local regulatory hosting, cyber, and GIPS® compliance performance solutions. This was preceded by a nine-year term as the founder and CEO of a UK compliance consulting firm that specialised in the alternatives fund management and advisory sectors.  Ron is a former UK regulator and was a pioneer of regulatory hosting for discretionary investment management in the UK, having established Blueprint Capital Management LLP, believed to be the first such platform, in 2003.  ACA Partner, Adam Palmer, will now assume responsibility for ACA’s UK regulatory division based in London.

Mike Downie has also joined Mirabella, moving from his European Operations Officer role at ACA Compliance Group. In recent years, Mike established and ran the regulatory hosting solutions provided by Hutchinson Lilley Investments LLP.  Before that, in 2004, Mike joined Ron to be Chief Executive of Blueprint Capital Management, establishing the pre-eminent model for regulatory incubation in the UK. Prior to this Mike was at Schroder Investment Management for 13 years where he became a Director in Operations with responsibility for the firm’s fund accounting.

Ron Weekes, CEO of Mirabella stated “Mirabella has a very exciting and dynamic future, benefiting from the wider ACA relationship. Joe has done a great job building Mirabella into the leading regulatory hosting firm in the sector and we do not anticipate any impact on clients as we move into this next phase. I look forward to adding more resources, capability and clients to Mirabella as part of the ACA Compliance Group.”

Established in 2004, Mirabella provides regulated hosting services to the discretionary management and advisory sectors and manages approximately $14bn in assets.

The Mirabella Regulatory Hosting platform hosts firms who undertake regulated activities in the EU who do not yet have their own license, including start-up and established investment managers, as well as distribution and advisory firms.
